Tara started her drag career in 1989 at Palladium here in Wilmington, NC. After about 3 months of doing guest spots, she won talent show at Mickey Ratz. She then moved over to Mickey Ratz where she worked for about 13 years (1989-2002).
During that time, she moved up to hosting the shows on Fri and Sun nights. In the mid 90s she worked with Mr. Charlie Brown in Atlanta at Backstreet for the Big Girl Revue show.
In 2002 she moved to Ibiza where she was the hostess for “Tara’s Allstar Show” until 2008 when she became the hostess for Friday Night Follies. Check out here Documentary on Netflix called “The Dixie Queen” it’s about doing drag in a southern town.
A Wilmington native, she started my career in 1999 in Greenville, NC while attending college at ECU. She quickly fell in love with the art form of female illusion while working at the Paddock Club and captured the title of Miss Greenville America in 2002. After competing for the title of Miss NC America twice and traveling extensively for several years throughout the Carolina’s she decided to give the high heels a break and focus on a career in Cosmetology Education. She has recently returned to the stage as a house cast member at Ibiza where she works along side some very talented entertainers.
